In the morning our guide picks you up at the hotel in Hanoi and drives you north, towards Bac Kan Province. In this area the BaBe National Park is situated, boasting more than 20,000 hectares of valleys, waterfalls, caves, unusual rock formations and lakes. The area is predominantly home to the Tay tribe. Day 03: BaBe – CaoBang (B, L)
CAO BANG: At 300 kilometres north of Hanoi, CAO BANG is used as a base camp for all our expeditions to destinations close to the Chinese border. The region north of Caobang is dominated by limestone. Hence its scenery is similar to that of Halong bay or Guilin (China) and offers unprecedented driving enjoyment amongst some of the most spectacular surroundings in Vietnam.
We leave BaBe by a fantastic mountainous road, leading us along spectacular limestone formations and densely forested hills. We pass the frontier region of China to pay a visit to the Pac Po Grotto, Ho Chi Minh’s former base during the 1930s. Here you will have the chance to learn more about this all-time Vietnamese hero and his long struggle for liberation against the colonial forces. We spend two nights at Hotels in Cao Bang.

Day 04: CaoBang – Ban Gioc Waterfall (B, L, D)
Ban Gioc Waterfall: In this closed off region, where thousands of limestone monoliths loom high above paddy fields tended by Nung, Tay and Green Hmong peoples, you will find sealed, winding roads which make for excellent driving. The entire area rewards those willing to take the time to explore and share life with its people.
Further north lies CaoBang province, a remote area right on the border with neighbouring China. CaoBang is sparsely populated with a few ethnic communities, hardly affected by today’s modern life. Cao Bang is famous for its graceful mountains, grottos and streams. In the afternoon we take you to the most beautiful waterfall of Vietnam, the Ban Gioc waterfall. After this magical visit we return to Caobang. Overnight at Hotels in Cao Bang.
Day 05: CaoBang – LangSon (B, L, D)
Today we travel back in time, back to Indochina, by driving the famous Colonial Road No. 4. We pass villages like Dong Khe and That Khe. The places are well-known for their countless bloody fights between Viet Minh and French forces during the 1950s. In the late afternoon we arrive in LangSon to visit the central market, the gateway of trade between China and Vietnam. Before checking into our hotel in Lang Son, we visit the Tam Thanh and Nhi Thanh grottos. Overnight at Hotels in Lang Son
Day 06: LangSon – HaNoi (B, L)
We leave the northeast behind as we drive back to one of the most charming cities of Asia; Hanoi On the way several stops are scheduled to visit the Dau pagoda and
The But Thap pagoda, which is said to be the most beautiful one of the region. You will be transferred to your hotel in Hanoi or to the airport
